“Proficiency in Focusing Partnership” Training

The “Proficiency in Focusing Partnership” award is granted by the International Focusing Institute to individuals who have demonstrated proficiency in Focusing, listening, and partnership skills (What is Focusing? Learn more here). To receive this acknowledgment, candidates are recommended by TIFI Certified Focusing Professionals like me (bio here) who have assessed the candidate’s proficiency based upon a period of hands-on work together. The PFP award can be presented as a stand-alone recognition or as an interim milestone on the way to full certification as a Focusing Trainer or Certified Focusing Professional.

Readiness for the PFP designation is determined at the discretion of the Certified Focusing Professional recommending the candidate for the award. Proficiency skills and competencies might include:

  • Ability to identify and utilize the felt sense

  • Ability to listen in the Focusing way

  • Focusing experience with a number of other Focusing partners

Institute Fees And Membership

To be a candidate for the PFP award you must be a member of the International Focusing Institute as a Trainee or in any affiliate membership category (Friend $25, Supporter $50, Associate $75). The Institute charges a fee of $35 for processing and mailing.
